Mermaid Terrace is an observatory by Obama Cove.
It is located about 1 km northwest of Obama station, and is at the north edge of Obama Nishigumi area.

There are two statues of mermaid, and we can see the scenery of the sea around Obama city.
And we can see the beautiful sunset from this spot.

From here, there is a beach facing Obama Cove.

"Mermaid" is a symbolic object of Obama city.
Because, there is a legend about mermaid.
The legend is related to Kuuinji temple. (Please see the page of Kuuinji.)

From Mermaid Terrace to Kuuinji, the distance is only about 500 meters.
You can walk through Obama Nishigumi area.
