Mount Shinobu is a mountain located just north of the center of Fukushima city.

The height is 275 meters and three peaks are on the mountain.

Around each peak, there is a Shinto shrine.
The shrines are Gassan Shrine (月山神社), Haguro Shrine (羽黒神社), Yudono Shrine (湯殿神社), from the west.

These names of the shrine are the same as "Three sacred mountains of Dewa" in Yamagata prefecture.
(See the page of Dewa-Sanzan.)

These are related to the mountain worship from ancient times.

There are the observatory and the park on the mountain, and they are popular spot that we can overlook the city of Fukushima.

The best time to see the cherry blossoms is around the middle of April.
