Mizuki Shigeru Road is a street displaying many monuments of the manga characters by Mizuki Shigeru (1922-2015).

It is located in the center of Sakaiminato city about 15 km northwest of Yonago city.
The street is about 800 meters, and stretches from JR Sakaiminato terminal station to the east.

Mizuki Shigeru was a Japanese manga artist.
He was born in Osaka city, and lived in Sakaiminato city in his childhood.

He made his debut as a manga artist in 1958.
His manga is very unique, and Japanese traditional "Yokai" (ghosts, phantoms, etc.) are used as the characters.

Especially, "GeGeGe no Kitaro" became a popular manga series from 1967 to 2000s.
Because of uncanny characters, the stories were made like the battle of hero and bad men.

Mizuki was presented with the Order of Culture from Japanese government for his achievements.
